At VakilAdvisor.in, we believe trust is earned one interaction at a time. This Code of Conduct codifies the principles that govern how our team, panel advocates, and partners deal with clients, lenders, courts, and each other.
1. Integrity & Honesty
- We tell clients the truth about their case — even when it's uncomfortable.
- We never overpromise outcomes or guarantee figures that depend on third parties.
- Marketing claims are factual and verifiable. We don't manufacture testimonials or inflate numbers.
2. Client First
- Every recommendation we make is in the client's best interest — never optimised for our revenue.
- We disclose all fees, including statutory pass-throughs, before engagement.
- We respond to client communications within one working day during office hours.
3. Confidentiality
- Client information is sacrosanct. Only the assigned advisor and panel advocate access a file.
- Names and identifying details are never shared publicly without explicit written consent.
- Settlement letters and case documents shown on our website are redacted to protect client identities.
4. Compliance with Law
- We operate strictly within the Advocates Act, 1961, Bar Council of India Rules, RBI Fair Practices Code, SARFAESI Act, and applicable BNS provisions.
- We never advise or assist any client to evade lawful dues, commit fraud, or obstruct judicial process.
- Settlement is a recognised legal remedy and is always pursued through transparent negotiation.
5. No Coercion of Lenders
- We negotiate with lenders professionally — through written correspondence, formal meetings, and statutory channels.
- We do not threaten, abuse, or pressure lender representatives.
- Where lender conduct violates RBI guidelines, we escalate via the Banking Ombudsman or courts — never via personal threats.
6. Payment Integrity
- All fees are collected only via official invoices and payment links.
- We never accept payments to personal UPI handles, QR codes, or individual bank accounts.
- Any team member or partner soliciting personal payments is committing fraud and should be reported to vakiladvisor.court@gmail.com.
7. Non-Discrimination
- We serve all clients without discrimination based on religion, caste, gender, sexual orientation, language, region, disability, or income.
- Our workplace operates with zero tolerance for harassment of any kind.
8. Conflict of Interest
- We decline cases where representing a client would conflict with another existing engagement.
- Panel advocates disclose any personal or professional connection to opposing parties before accepting a case.
9. Quality & Accountability
- Every case is supervised by a senior advisor. Junior team members do not operate in isolation.
- We maintain detailed case notes, audit trails, and review milestones quarterly.
- Mistakes are owned, communicated to the client, and rectified at our cost where caused by our error.
10. Reporting Misconduct
If any client, lender, or member of the public believes that a VakilAdvisor representative has breached this Code of Conduct, please write to us. Reports are treated confidentially and investigated within 7 working days.
